Submitting contributions to Before Farming

The editor and associate editors of Before Farming welcome submissions for papers, reviews and news. Please take a moment to check these guidelines before submitting your material.

Research papers

All research papers are peer reviewed by at least two appropriately qualified academic reviewers.

Since this is primarily an online journal we ask you to submit your contribution in electronic format: send by e-mail or by post on cd or floppy disk. Please check first with our editorial office at enq@waspress.co.uk before e-mailing large files, particularly images, giving your e-mail the subject heading BF file size

Our preferred file format is MS Word files for text, using Arial or Helvetica font. If you are unable to send in this format please consult the editorial assistant on enq@waspress.co.uk giving your message the subject heading BF format to check that we can accept your files.

We can accept most types of illustration: we would prefer to receive scanned images on floppy disc or CD or by email as TIFF files. Please ensure photographs are of good quality. For tables and line drawings Postscript or EPS files will be acceptable. If sending by e-mail please check that we can receive your file size and format before attempting to send it by contacting enq@waspress.co.uk giving your e-mail the subject heading BF visuals. We may be able to use video or animated sequences if appropriate - please check first before sending. Please check any special requirements with us by e-mailing enq@waspress.co.uk giving your e-mail the subject heading BF visuals.
