Mike
O'Mahony is a lecturer in the Department of Art History
at the University of Bristol. He specialises in official Soviet
visual culture of the Stalinist era. He has published on various
aspects of twentieth century art and the design and decoration
of the Moscow metro in the 1930s. He is currently completing
a study of representations of sport and physical culture in
the Soviet Union.
Jonathan
Blackwood is a lecturer in the Department of Cultural
Studies at the University of Glamorgan. He specialises in
early twentieth century British art and has published on Winifred
Nicholson, JD Fergusson and twentieth century British sculpture.
Rafael
Cardoso is a writer and assistant professor in the Department
of Art and Design at the Pontificia Universidade Catolica
in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He specialises in design history
and has published widely on art and design education in nineteenth
century Britain and Brazil. Current research interests include
the history of graphic design in Brazil and principles of
visual narrative structure in images.
Jon
Kear is a lecturer at the University of Kent at Canterbury.
He specialises in French nineteenth century art and has published
on various aspects of nineteenth and twentieth century art
and criticism, has completed a study of the film-maker Chris
Marker and is currently writing a book on Cézanne.
Claire
O'Mahony is a lecturer in the Department of Art History
at the University of Bristol. She specialises in the history
of European design and interior decoration in the late nineteenth
and early twentieth centuries. She has published on various
aspects of nineteenth century painting and design and is currently
completing a study of town hall mural decoration in late nineteenth
and early twentieth century France.
Britt
Salvesen is a curator at the Milwaukee Art Museum. She
specialises in nineteenth century photography, printmaking,
and painting. Her most recent publications address the works
of Whistler, Van Gogh, and Gauguin.
